The clinic currently operates with volunteer clinical support and MCC infrastructure.
Building a Sustainable Clinic
Volunteer physicians provide tremendous value, but volunteer availability alone cannot provide the consistency required to build a dependable community clinic.
MCC's sustainable model combines:
A paid Nurse Practitioner for clinical continuity
A Clinic Coordinator for scheduling, intake, outreach, referrals, follow-up, provider coordination, and administration
Volunteer physicians who add clinical expertise and capacity
Volunteer clinical support
MCC infrastructure providing the physical and organizational platform
Expanding the Continuum of Care
MCC's longer-term healthcare vision includes three service areas.
Primary Care
Consistent accessible general healthcare.
Mental Health
MCC previously provided mental-health services and continues to receive requests for them. The goal is to rebuild access through qualified providers, appropriate scheduling, and compliant technology.
Dental Care
MCC has previously offered dental services and has infrastructure available to support the return of volunteer dental care, supplemented by paid hygiene capacity.
The Opportunity
Current Annual Mercy Clinic Fundraising Goal: $55,000
The working funding structure supports:
Clinical continuity
Nurse Practitioner and dental hygiene capacity.
Patient access and coordination
Clinic coordination, scheduling, outreach, and appropriate technology.
Clinic operations
Supplies, infrastructure, and operating support.
Growth capacity
Resources that help MCC responsibly expand access as utilization increases.
The Mercy Clinic Value Proposition
Healthcare professionals contribute their expertise. MCC contributes the place and infrastructure. Paid clinical and coordination capacity provides the continuity that turns volunteer care into a sustainable community clinic.
